On Saturday, October 27, hundreds of Word Dance Zombies will rise from the lawn of Santa Barbara’s Courthouse Sunken Gardens to perform Michael Jackson’s iconic dance, as part of a global event, Thrill the World.

Since 2013, World Dance for Humanity has been focused on Rwanda, helping 9,021 people in rural cooperatives left divided and destitute by the 1994 Genocide.  These communities are led by survivors themselves, who formed cooperatives in order to stay alive.
