A little bit of fog and cloudy, cold days over the past week in Santa Barbara with lots of wonderful weather ahead of us here! Mortgage rates have stayed consistent recently, with conforming 30 year fixed rates at 2.75%, while non-conforming 30 year fixed rates are at 3%. The average rate on a 30 year mortgage is set to increase by half-a-percent into the next year. There is a lot of debate and speculation about where the current mortgage rates are headed in the future and what the market is going to look like going forward. David and Patti talk about the future of home prices and their variability depending on supply and demand.
